On February 17, 2017, a Nevada district court judge ruled in favor of Finnegan client CG Technology Development, confirming that Zynga Inc. infringed its patent covering a video game system. GC sued Zynga in April 2016, alleging that its online interactive casino games utilized mechanisms that infringed numerous patents related to things such as remote servers and display of statistics. CG's evidence, which included descriptions of how Zynga's products work, screenshots of the company's online casino games, and assertions of how CG's patent works, were sufficient in outlining its infringement claims.
