Women and minority business owners often face insurmountable barriers when operating their businesses, including funding, protecting intellectual property (IP), and general costs. These entrepreneurs commonly operate small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which serve as catalysts for global economic growth. She added “A strong, but easily identifiable, brand that informs or at least suggests to the consumer and community that the business behind the brand is women or minority-owned can help these businesses overcome this hurdle.”
