ITC Judge Clears Innoscience's Redesigned Semiconductor

In a win for Finnegan client Innoscience, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC)  confirmed that Innoscience’s redesigned gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductor product does not infringe Infineon’s patents. The case started with four patents but was narrowed down to two, and the decision allows Innoscience to avoid any upcoming ban.

Finnegan partner Lionel Lavenue, emphasized the significance of the ruling, calling it “a textbook ITC victory for respondents.” He added "Infineon brought this four‑patent case hoping to impede Innoscience's technological and commercial progress. Instead, Innoscience emerged entirely unscathed and continues its business without limitation."
