Alissa Green focuses on patent litigation, specifically district court, post-grant review, and International Trade Commission (ITC) proceedings. She also performs prosecution and counseling in the mechanical and electrical space, including in the automotive and heavy machinery industries.
Alissa's technical experience encompasses both mechanical and electrical technologies, including in the industrial manufacturing, automotive, and transportation sectors. She has experience with thermodynamics, hydraulics, dynamics, fluid mechanics, signals technology, and global positioning system (GPS) and geographic information system (GIS) mapping data.
While in law school, Alissa worked at Finnegan as a summer associate and law clerk. She assisted in all stages of patent litigation. Alissa also advised clients through all stages of patent prosecution, including responding to office actions and examiner interviews.
Alissa was a student attorney in the Glushko-Samuelson Intellectual Property Law Clinic at American University. She represented clients through a notice and comment rulemaking and the patent prosecution process. She also counseled clients about best practices for protecting a wide range of intellectual property.
Prior to law school, Alissa taught middle school and high school math and science in Arizona. She independently created an advanced placement (AP) physics curriculum and co-led a robotics team that placed second in the state competition.
Alissa maintains a pro bono docket, aiding immigrants seeking asylum and advocating for students with special education needs. She has been recognized on the Capital Pro Bono High Honor Roll.
