Domain Name Specialist Joins Finnegan’s Trademark Practice

PALO ALTO, CALIF. - Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP, one of the world’s largest intellectual property law firms, announced today that Marina A. Lewis has joined the firm’s Palo Alto, California office. Ms. Lewis, who practices trademark and copyright law, will focus on Internet and domain name issues and disputes.

“We are delighted to have Marina join Finnegan’s trademark and copyright practice group,” said Douglas Rettew, who chairs the group. “Domain names are an integral part of a company’s branding, marketing strategy, and online identity.  Marina’s seven-plus years of experience in domain names, cybersquatting, and Internet matters will enhance the firm’s existing capabilities in this specialized area of law.”

Ms. Lewis also counsels clients in a range of trademark issues, including worldwide clearance, prosecution, and enforcement, and she advises on unfair competition. Before joining Finnegan, she was counsel with the San Francisco-based firm Dergosits & Noah LLP.

Erik Puknys, managing partner of Finnegan's Palo Alto office, commented that “Marina is a welcome addition to the office. She is a talented practitioner with a deep understanding of the Bay Area business community, who will enrich the services we provide and serve as a valuable resource for our clients and professionals.”
