Finnegan client AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals Inc. announced a settlement with Handa Pharmaceuticals LLC on September 29, 2011 over Handa's bid to produce a generic version Seroquel XR®. "We believe this agreement reaffirms our intellectual property rights and is the right business decision for AstraZeneca at this time," AstraZeneca CEO David Brennan said in a statement Thursday. "Seroquel XR remains an important part of our company's portfolio benefiting patients and physicians throughout the world."
