Unscathed: Ruling Unveils Major Snarl That Electric Vehicle Automakers Have Avoided

Several automakers, including Finnegan client BMW, emerged unscathed following an initial determination at the International Trade Commission (ITC) on semiconductor technology in electric vehicles. The ITC administrative law judge found no violation of the Tariff Act, ruling that the automakers do not infringe patents asserted by Arigna Technology Ltd., and the asserted claims are invalid in any event.
