Litigators of the Week: Defending Against a $290M Claim and Scoring a $116M Win in Drug Patent Fight

The AmLaw Litigation Daily named Finnegan and Latham & Watkins as Litigators of the Week for the team's $116M victory on behalf of client Sarepta Therapeutics. A federal jury in Delaware determined that Nippon Shinyaku had infringed a patent owned by the University of Western Australia (UWA) and licensed to Sarepta to treat Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a degenerative muscular disorder.
