January 6, 2025

Munich – Finnegan is pleased to announce that Johannes Druschel will join the firm's patent litigation team in Munich on January 1, 2025.

Johannes specializes in IP litigation, in particular patent litigation. After graduating from the University of Munich, he obtained his Ph.D. as a fellow of the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition. "With the UPC, the demand for relevant litigation expertise has increased once again. With Johannes Druschel, we have gained an experienced litigator who will represent our clients excellently in international opposition and infringement proceedings. We are very pleased to welcome him to Finnegan," says Dr. Dr. Jochen Herr, Managing Partner of Finnegan in Munich and head of the German patent litigation practice.

Johannes Druschel said, "Finnegan has an excellent international reputation as one of the leading IP law firms. I am very much looking forward to supporting the team in Munich in further expanding the practice in Germany and Europe."

Finnegan's Munich office has a total of 12 attorneys practicing patent litigation and IP, including five partners. With five offices in the U.S., four in Asia and two in Europe, Finnegan is one of the few firms able to provide comprehensive advice and representation in all jurisdictions relevant to patent and trademark litigation.
