ITC Will Probe LED Claims in LG, Osram Patent War

August 26, 2011

Law360

On August 25, 2011 the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) initiated an investigation of LG Electronics Inc.'s allegations that Osram GmbH is infringing LG patents related to light-emitting diode technology. The decision to institute the Section 337 investigation comes after LG and LG Innotek Co. Inc. lodged parallel complaints in July with the ITC and Delaware federal court against Osram. LG is represented by Finnegan in this matter.
