Managing Intellectual Property
On April 19, 2016, Managing Intellectual Property released data on the busiest petitioners, patent owners, law firms, and attorneys at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) during the first quarter of 2016. Although petition filings fell to its lowest quarterly figure since 2014, Finnegan remained the busiest law firm at the PTAB with a total of 46 petitions on behalf of petitioners and patent owners combined.
Finnegan attorneys Lionel Lavenue, Shaobin Zhu, and Joshua L. Goldberg filed more than four petitions on behalf of petitioners in the first quarter of 2016. John M. Mulcahy, Joshua L. Goldberg, M. Andrew Holtman, Daniel C. Tucker, Erika H. Arner, Frank A. DeCosta, James D. Stein, and Timothy P. McAnulty appeared in more than four newly filed PTAB proceedings on behalf of patent owners in the first quarter of 2016.
