On August 13, 2015, the Federal Circuit decided en banc in favor of Finnegan client Akamai, ruling that Limelight Networks infringed Akamai’s web content delivery patent. The court reinstated a $45.5 million jury verdict against Limelight.
The case was on remand from the U.S. Supreme Court and the decision vacated a split panel decision by the Federal Circuit in May, which found that Limelight did not infringe Akamai’s patent.
