Working Mother
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
July 26, 2016
WASHINGTON, DC—Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers today announced the 2016 Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers "50 Best Law Firms for Women," recognizing Finnegan for the fifth time for leading the industry in creating and using best practices to retain and promote women lawyers.
The "Best Law Firms for Women" survey was developed in 2007 through a partnership between Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers LLC. Firms with at least 50 lawyers are eligible to apply and provide detailed questions about the issues that are most important to the retention and promotion of female lawyers. Fifty winning firms are selected based on their commitments, policies, and accomplishments related to workforce profile, family-friendly benefits and policies, flexibility, leadership, compensation, advancement and retention of women. In addition, Finnegan partner Adriana Burgy was named a "Working Mother of the Year."
"It is an honor for the firm to again be recognized for its family-friendly policies and career and business development initiatives and opportunities, all of which help us to retain women attorneys and advance them into leadership positions," said Finnegan managing partner Mark D. Sweet. "We take pride in fostering a culture that encourages such a work-life balance."
