Finnegan Recognized as Leader in Intellectual Property Litigation at 2013 LMG Life Sciences Awards

WASHINGTON, DC  — At the inaugural LMG Life Sciences awards, Finnegan won the award for Intellectual Property Firm of the Year. Finnegan partner Charles E. Lipsey also received top honors for “Hatch-Waxman (Branded Pharmaceutical) Litigator of the Year.” The awards ceremony took place on Wednesday, September 25 in New York, where the Legal Media Group recognized and honored the leading attorneys, law firms, and in-house counsel teams that have played a significant role in the life sciences industry over the past year. During the last twelve months, Finnegan prevailed in pharmaceutical cases for Abbvie Inc., Cephalon, DuPont Nutrition Biosciences APS, Eli Lilly and Company, and Galderma. The firm is also involved in ongoing litigations at the district and federal courts for innovative drug companies such as AstraZeneca, Ferring BV, Grünenthal GmbH, Otsuka Pharmaceuticals, and Pronova BioPharma Norge AS.

In compiling its rankings, LMG Life Sciences spoke to in-house counsel, leading lawyers in the life sciences field and conducted extensive research of public records. The publication conducted nearly 1000 interviews and reviewed surveys completed by lawyers active in the areas of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and biotechnology.
