Sasha Hoyt focuses on complex patent and trade secret litigation, as well as post-grant proceedings, client counseling, and opinion work related to chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing. She represents clients before U.S. district courts, with a particular emphasis on litigating Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) cases involving polymorph and drug-drug interaction patents. Sasha also provides strategic litigation counseling and monitoring, as well as guidance to clients on infringement, validity and enforceability issues.
Sasha has extensive experience representing innovators in litigations involving treatments for complex medical conditions against multiple defendants, both corporations and individuals. She is actively involved in all phases of litigation, from pre-litigation counseling and strategy development, to managing comprehensive fact and expert discovery on accelerated timelines, as well as claim construction, trial preparation, and settlement. Sasha's work has contributed to favorable outcomes for clients, including successful settlements.
While in law school, Sasha served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Michael F. Urbanski, Chief District Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia. She also worked at the University of Virginia’s Licensing and Ventures Group during and prior to law school.
Sasha is committed to pro bono service and has been recognized multiple times on the Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll and High Honor Roll for her representation of asylum seekers, including securing a grant of asylum for a client in a complex proceeding involving multiple hearings and experts in foreign law. She has also volunteered with the Election Protection Hotline.

Represented Rocket Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in district court litigation involving claims of trade secret misappropriation and breach of contract against corporate and individual defendants relating to complex treatments for genetic disorders. Obtained successful outcome including permanent injunction and other remedies against all defendants.

Represented Rocket Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in district court litigation involving claims of trade secret misappropriation and breach of contract against individual and corporate defendants and relating to complex treatments for genetic disorders. Successfully opposed motion to dismiss key claims and obtained settlement with all defendants following completion of fact discovery.
