A recent report from the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) Bar Association found that women attorneys only make up about 12% of all attorney appearances at the PTAB. The report also outlined that the percentage of women appearing in PTAB proceedings among the 100 most frequented firms remains nearly the same at 13%. Of the top 100 attorneys appearing in PTAB cases, only eight are women, with Finnegan partner Erika Arner noted as having the second-highest number of appearances with 211.
