Finnegan Wins “Trademark Contentious Firm of the Year” and “U.S. Firm of the Year - PTAB” at the 2022 MIP Americas Awards

April 8, 2022

Managing Intellectual Property

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 8, 2022

WASHINGTON, DC—On April 7, Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) held its 2022 Americas Award ceremony in New York City, where Finnegan took home the “Trademark Contentious Firm of the Year” and “United States Firm of the Year - PTAB” awards.

Finnegan’s comprehensive trademark practice includes experienced litigators who advocate on behalf of clients across industries. They represent plaintiffs and defendants in trial and appellate courts throughout the country, as well as before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), where the firm typically files or defends as many as 200 new U.S. oppositions and cancellations each year.

When it comes to patent work, Finnegan is one of the most active and experienced firms for proceedings before the USPTO’s Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). With more than 1,100 PTAB trials and counting, our patent attorneys routinely handle inter partes review (IPR) and post-grant review (PGR) proceedings. The firm has a balanced practice representing both petitioners and patent owners and has been consistently acknowledged through awards and rankings.

“We are honored to receive ‘Firm of the Year’ awards for both our trademark and patent work,” said Finnegan’s managing partner, Anand Sharma.” “We are appreciative of MIP for continuing to recognize the scope of our work and talent across the intellectual property law spectrum.”
