FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 15, 2021

WASHINGTON, DC—Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) announced its 2021 Americas Award winners, naming Finnegan "PTAB Firm of the Year" for the second time in three years. Finnegan also won for "U.S. Patent Prosecution Firm of the Year: Northeast" for an incredible ninth time.

With more than 1,000 Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) trials and counting, Finnegan is one of the most experienced PTAB firms in the country. Our experience spans not only volume but also variety, as we have represented more than 200 clients across industries and with varying strategic goals.

Our Patent Office practice includes more than 220 professionals with science or engineering backgrounds registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and over 40 former patent examiners. Finnegan annually files approximately 2,500 U.S. and 1,000 foreign patent applications for utility, plant, and design inventions, and the technologies at issue span nearly every industry sector.

Finnegan’s managing partner Anand Sharma said, “We are honored that MIP continues to recognize Finnegan’s work and scope of talent across both the contentious and non-contentious areas of our Patent Office practice.”
