Finnegan Opens First Texas Office with ‘Two Leaders with Genuine Local Roots'

On September 2, Finnegan officially opened its first office in Texas and second new office in five years after opening in Munich in 2022. Hope Shimabuku and Christian Hurt join the firm as partners with Hope serving as the office managing partner. Hope has over three decades of experience as an engineer and IP attorney and Christian is a trial and appellate lawyer that recently left McKool Smith. Managing partner, James Barney said, “In Hope and Christian, we have two leaders with genuine Texas roots and the standing to carry Finnegan’s brand into this exciting and growing new market.” The Dallas office will include a team of experienced attorneys, and legal professionals, as well as the support of attorneys and staff from all Finnegan offices.
