Finnegan Grows German Practice with Experienced Patent Litigator

June 7, 2022

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 7, 2022

MUNICH (7 June 2022) – Finnegan, one of the world’s largest IP law firms, is pleased to announce that Dr. Antje Brambrink will join the firm’s Munich office as counsel, effective July 1, 2022. With this lateral hire, Finnegan significantly bolsters its life sciences patent litigation practice in Europe.

Dr. Antje Brambrink has an extensive track record of patent litigation and enforcement in infringement, nullity, and opposition proceedings. She advises and represents clients in multijurisdictional cases in various fields of industry with a strong focus on pharmaceuticals, complex biotechnology, chemistry, medical devices as well as high-tech and renewable energies. She is also experienced in coordinating complex cross-border patent litigation cases and advises in non-contentious matters such as patent transfers, licensing, and technology-driven corporate transactions.

In addition to her admissions as a lawyer, Antje is also qualified as a dentist and holds a Ph.D. in the field of pharmacology.

"We are delighted to have an experienced attorney like Antje Brambrink join us to further expand our Munich office and patent litigation practice in Germany," said Dr. Dr. Jochen Herr, managing partner of Finnegan’s Munich office and head of the German practice. "The first few months have already been extraordinarily successful for us. To grow further with exceptional talent is now at the top of our agenda."

Finnegan launched its Munich office in early 2022 with a team of four lawyers and three legal professionals, significantly strengthening the firm’s presence in Europe. With a presence in Europe for nearly 20 years overall and an office in London for nearly 10 years, Finnegan is now tapping into another key market for patent litigation with the Munich office; a strategic move in light of the impending Unified Patent Court. With five offices in the United States, four in Asia, and two in Europe, Finnegan is one of the few law firms able to provide comprehensive legal services in multiple jurisdictions relevant to patent litigation.
