The National Law Journal
The National Law Journal (NLJ) announced its finalists and honorees for their 2024 Legal Awards. Finnegan partner Daniel Chung is a winner in the DC Rising Stars category, and the firm is a finalist for DC Diversity Initiative of the Year. The DC Rising Stars award recognizes 40 DC area-based attorneys under the age of 40. To be considered for this honor, in addition to being innovators in their respective practice areas, the attorneys must demonstrate strong leadership qualities and the ability to develop robust business as well as distinct practice niches.
Daniel represents clients ranging from startup companies to multi-national corporations in complex IP litigation and strategic IP counseling. He focuses on litigating patent and trade secret disputes before U.S. district courts, the U.S. International Trade Commission, and arbitration panels. In addition to serving as co-leader of the firm’s Sports, Fitness, and Outdoor Recreation industry group, Daniel is also active in Finnegan’s pro bono program, earning numerous features on the Capital Bar Honor Roll list. He has been an instrumental voice in the diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts at Finnegan and was named a Fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity in 2023.
Finnegan is proud to be named a finalist for DC Diversity Initiative of the Year, in recognition of its continued commitment and focus on in-house diversity initiatives, as well as its results with external stakeholders.
The NLJ Legal Awards ceremony will be held in Washington, D.C., on October 24, 2024.
