PTAB Again Cancels Patent Claims Under Section 101 in Second CBM Final Decision

On Tuesday, January 21, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) issued its second decision in a covered business method (CBM) patent review proceeding in CRS Advanced Techs., Inc. v. Frontline Techs., Inc. The Board found in favor of CRS, holding all six patent claims at issue to be ineligible under Section 101. Finnegan represented CRS in this matter.
