Managing Intellectual Property

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 19, 2015

WASHINGTON, DC—At its annual North American IP awards dinner, Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) recognized Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP with the distinct honor of being named its first-ever U.S. IP Firm of the Decade. This follows a year of Tier 1 MIP rankings across every U.S. intellectual property category: patent prosecution, patent contentious, ITC, bio/life sciences, PTAB litigation (USPTO), trademark prosecution and trademark contentious. The firm also received top rankings in Japan and England.

In addition to receiving the IP Firm of the Decade award, Finnegan was further recognized with the national and the northeast regional awards for Patent Prosecution Firm of the Year. Erika H. Arner, the head of Finnegan’s patent office and PTAB trials practice, received an individual award for Virginia IP Litigator of the Year.

Managing partner, James B. Monroe said, “The firm is very pleased to have received consistently high recognition over the past decade from MIP. We consider it an honor to have so many of our IP practice groups, as well as our individual lawyers, held out as leaders in the field of intellectual property law.”

MIP is a leading source of news and analysis on all intellectual property developments worldwide. Annually, MIP conducts its IP Survey, contacting global practitioners (including in-house counsel and law firm attorneys) across 80 jurisdictions to identify and rank leading law firms in the IP field.
