WASHINGTON, DC—The National Law Journal, in conjunction with the Connecticut Law Tribune, named Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP partner Alissa K. Lipton a 2015 “Boston Rising Star.” The annual award honors up-and-coming lawyers in the Boston area who have shown a commitment to the legal profession, made an impact in their communities, and have been recognized by their peers and the public.
Ms. Lipton’s practice focuses on patent litigation and pre-litigation counseling involving a wide range of technologies, including biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device patents. She represents clients in U.S. district courts at all stages of litigation, from pre-suit investigation through appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. In addition to her litigation work, Alissa performs client counseling and opinion work, primarily in areas related to biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. “At Finnegan, Alissa has distinguished herself as an exceptional attorney, legal writer, and advocate with strong analytical skills and sound legal judgment,” said Leslie A. McDonell, managing partner of the firm’s Boston office. “Her work has been applauded by some of the most accomplished IP attorneys in the country, and we are extremely proud of her achievements.”
