Working Mother
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
July 29, 2015
WASHINGTON, DC—For the fourth consecutive year, Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers recognized Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP on its “50 Best Law Firms for Women” list. The firm was recognized for its family friendly policies and career and business development initiatives that are helping to retain women attorneys and advance them into the leadership pipeline.
In addition, Finnegan partner Jennifer Roscetti was named a Working Mother of the Year. Jennifer embraced Finnegan's flexible work schedule by (at her request) returning to work shortly after the birth of her daughter to successfully argue a pre-trial hearing, which contributed to her election to partnership. After the trial, she utilized the firm's generous maternity leave to finish out her leave.
Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers co-founded the 50 Best Law Firms for Women initiative in 2007 to celebrate the law firms that are most successful in retaining and promoting women lawyers. The goal is also to give law firms the information and benchmarking tools they need to improve the status of women in their firms in the future.
“Nearly 10 years ago, Finnegan launched its Women’s Initiative to provide internal mentoring, networking, and educational support to the firm’s women attorneys,” said Finnegan managing partner, James B. Monroe. “We strongly believe in having women in leadership positions and providing flexible working arrangements to ensure a work-life balance, and we are honored that Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers have recognized these efforts.”
