Finnegan Meets All Criteria for 2015 WILEF Gold Standard Certification

June 22, 2015

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 22, 2015

WASHINGTON, DC—For the fifth year in a row, the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) recognized Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP as a top law firm for women lawyers. The WILEF Gold Standard Certification is awarded to U.S. firms that have 300 or more attorneys and have successfully integrated women into leadership positions.

To receive the honor, firms had to meet at least four of the six criteria below. Out of the 44 firms that made the list, Finnegan was one of eight firms that met all six criteria. Firms had to demonstrate women representing at least:

  • 20% of equity partners or, alternatively, 33% or more of the non-lateral attorneys becoming equity partners during the past twelve months;
  • 10% of firm chair(s) or chief executive officer(s) and managing partners (firm-wide, U.S. or North American Regional and U.S. branch offices);
  • 20% of the firm’s primary governance committee;
  • 20% of the firm’s compensation committee or its equivalent;
  • 25% of the firm’s practice group leaders and/or department heads; and
  • 10% of the top half of the firm’s equity partners in terms of compensation.

“It is an honor to receive this recognition and to be one of few firms that have met all six criteria. This is a testament to Finnegan’s commitment to promoting and rewarding women in leadership roles at the firm,” said Finnegan Managing Partner James B. Monroe.
