Finnegan Earns 100% Rating on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2011 Corporate Equality Index

WASHINGTON, DC -  For the second consecutive year Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP has received a perfect score of 100% on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2011 Corporate Equality Index (CEI).  Finnegan’s top rating confirms the firm’s commitment to an inclusive environment that fully embraces diversity in the workplace.  The 2011 CEI rating reflects the firm’s continuing success in promoting the inclusion of our lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) colleagues.  It is the culmination of a concerted effort that has integrated client feedback with input from the firm’s LGBT employees, straight allies, HR, and recruitment professionals.  Keith Earley, Finnegan’s Director of Diversity and Inclusion, stated, “Finnegan is committed to doing more than just tolerating differences.”  He emphasized, “The value of diversity can only be realized when we embrace our similarities and differences in a manner that serves the best interests of our clients and our colleagues.”

The CEI report, released each fall, provides an in-depth analysis and rating of large U.S. employers and their policies towards lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees. A total of 844 businesses were evaluated on their LGBT-related practices including non-discrimination policies, transgender health benefits and domestic partner benefits. Finnegan's efforts in ensuring LGBT equality in each of the survey's main criterion earned it the distinguished 100-percent rating.
