Washington, DC - Chambers Asia recently released its annual guide listing top law firms across Asia. The publication recognized both Finnegan’s Taiwan and Japan offices as leaders in the field of intellectual property. Finnegan’s Taiwan office, which was categorized as a Tier One firm, was described as “an international IP leader” and as being “the strongest for foreign IP.” The office was recognized for its representation of Taiwan-based companies in the U.S. courts, particularly its work with firm client Winbond and other computer part and semiconductor companies.
Chambers stated that Finnegan’s Japan office is “widely regarded as a great IP firm with a strong presence in Japan” with “a wide Japanese client base and an excellent reputation.” Finnegan’s successful representation of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in an U.S. International Trade Commission proceeding involving wind turbine technology was mentioned as an example of the work handled by the office’s sophisticated IP practice.
