The Federal Circuit Affirms the FedEx Win in Barcode Patent Suit

The Federal Circuit affirmed FedEx Corp.’s win over BarTex Research LLC in an infringement case involving barcode technology. The original suit claimed that FedEx and it’s affiliates infringed BarTex’s barcode technology patent entitled “Bar code data entry device”. The Federal Circuit affirmed the lower courts decision in a two-page order and provided no explanation. FedEx is represented by Finnegan.
