Simmons Bedding Co. has filed a suit which asks the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin to rule that they did not infringe manufacturer Leggett & Platt Inc.’s patent or that the patent is invalid. Leggett & Platt is alleging that Simmons infringed their patent for a type of bed spring coil to produce their Smart Response bed. Simmons is represented by Finnegan.
