In the March/April 2016 edition of Landslide, Finnegan attorney Kenie Ho interviewed Michelle K. Lee, the Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Ms. Lee is the first woman to serve as Director of the USPTO, where she serves as a principal advisor to the President of the United States, through the Secretary of Commerce, on both domestic and international IP policy matters, and provides leadership and oversight of the day-to-day management of the policy, budget, and operations for over 12,000 USPTO employees.
