Finnegan Receives Gold Standard Certification from The Women in Law Empowerment Forum

WASHINGTON, DC - Finnegan received the Gold Standard Certification from The Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF), a designation for firms that have integrated women in top leadership positions and compensated them well. WILEF invited more than 300 firms with 100 or more attorneys to apply for the certification. Only 32 firms qualified, one of which was Finnegan. WILEF’s initiative is unique in its mission to certify, publicly recognize, and broadly publicize law firms that have integrated women into the highest leadership positions in the firm. “At a time when women are losing ground at some firms, it is wonderful to recognize 32 law firms where women are prominently represented at the highest levels of leadership and compensation,” said Ida Abbott, a legal consultant and chairwoman of WILEF’s certification committee. “These firms prove that a commitment to the advancement of women can produce great results.” Finnegan’s managing partner Barbara McCurdy commented, “We are delighted to receive the recognition for our efforts to identify, support, and reward our women who hold leadership positions.”
