While the implementation of the America Invents Act (AIA) has garnered much attention lately, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has also developed and tested several new patent prosecution procedures that are of great interest to patent practitioners. These new procedures have been specifically designed to streamline prosecution, and provide advantages to both applicants and examiners.

Please join our panel as they address:

• First action interview

• Prioritized examination

• Quick path information disclosure statement (QPIDS)

• After final consideration pilot (AFCP)

We will discuss the formal requirements for each new procedure, as well as their pros, cons, and practical considerations. We will also explain how these new procedures compare and contrast with existing procedures, such as, accelerated examination.

This webinar is the second in Finnegan’s 2012-2013 series, “Strategic U.S. Patent Series for European Counsel.” We hope you are able to attend.
