April 3, 2017
WASHINGTON, DC—At its annual North America Awards Dinner, Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) recognized Finnegan as Patent Prosecution Firm of the Year in both the national and Northeast region categories. Partner Erika H. Arner walked away with the Outstanding IP Litigator of the Year (PTAB) award. Earlier in the month at MIP’s Global Awards Dinner, the firm was named Japan Foreign Firm of the Year. The awards follow a year of top tier patent rankings from MIP in every possible category: patent prosecution, patent contentious, International Trade Commission, Patent Trial and Appeal Board litigation, and bio/life sciences. The firm continues to rank in Tier 1 for foreign firms in Japan, where it has maintained an office in Tokyo since 1988. Finnegan managing partner Mark D. Sweet said, "The firm is honored to be recognized for our IP work on a global as well as national level. We take extreme pride in being regarded as a leader in intellectual property."
