Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) and ASUSteK Computer Co. were awarded heavy sanctions including more than $339,000 in costs in a legal battle with O2 Micro International. Judge Claudia Wilken, of the Northern District of California, found that O2 had engaged in “vexatious litigation and misconduct” when it filed a series of baseless motions to obscure a testimony as well as wasting resources of the parties and the court. MPS and ASUSteK are represented by Finnegan.
