Associate
Nicholas has experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications at the USPTO for inventions pertaining to smart grids, aircraft propulsion systems, medical devices, and computer applications. He has been involved in appeals before the PTAB and litigation matters before U.S. district courts.
While pursuing his law degree, Nicholas participated in a legal clinic, where he counseled clients on a variety of intellectual property matters, including patent and trademark prosecution. He interned for other various intellectual property organizations, including a multinational law firm, the IP department of a Fortune 500 tech company, and a member-based legal services company. Nicholas was awarded a fellowship to spend a semester studying international IP law in India.
As an undergraduate, Nicholas worked as a research assistant for the Center for Intellectual Property Research at Indiana University. He applied his analytical background to researching quantitative methods of appraising patents.
Nicholas is committed to community service and volunteers his time with the firm's immigration law pro bono group.
