David Lebby focuses on patent litigation and prosecution involving mechanical and electrical technologies. His technical background spans the fields of consumer products, manufacturing, construction, HVAC, and beverage systems.

Prior to law school, David worked as a senior mechanical engineer for Newell Brands. He designed, constructed, and programmed multiple automated test fixtures, including a rollover crash simulator for car seats and a variable terrain simulation fixture for strollers. He also managed domestic and international compliance testing across thirteen product categories and provided design critiques for mitigation of quality and compliance concerns throughout the design process. Davids industry experience further includes overseeing construction and modernization of various air traffic control towers as a field engineer for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Projects at various airports included the installation of commercial HVAC systems, fire and life safety systems, and large-scale electronics systems.

While completing his undergraduate degree, David worked at The Coca-Cola Company as an engineering co-op designing beverage systems. He also served as a lab instructor for the Georgia Tech Invention Studio.
