Clinton Greub focuses on complex patent litigation in federal courts and has worked on several high-stake disputes representing U.S. clients in matters involving life sciences, artificial intelligence (AI)-based Internet of Things (IoT), global positioning systems (GPS), as well as Wi-Fi and cellular technologies. He is experienced in all phases of district court litigation, including preparing pleadings; drafting and arguing claim construction positions; briefing motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment; conducting fact and expert discovery; and deposing expert witnesses. Clinton has also prepared petitions for post-grant proceedings.
Clinton’s graduate research focused on gene stacking techniques, using recombinases for gene integration and nucleases for marker gene deletion. His thesis concentrated on correlating gene expression analysis with phenotypic structures to develop drought resistant rice.
While pursuing his law degree, Clinton participated in the Patent Experience Extern Program (PEEP) at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), and he worked as a summer associate at Finnegan. Prior to law school, Clinton worked at the U.S. Department of Agriculture and at DuPont Pioneer, Inc.
Before beginning his legal career, Clinton served four years on active duty in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Fort Bliss, Texas, and in South Korea, where he was a tactical controller for Patriot missile systems.
Clinton maintains an active pro bono practice. He has successfully represented clients in various matters, including landlord/tenant disputes and veterans appeals. Clinton has been recognized on the Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll.
