Intellectual Property: What is it? Where is it? Who does it? Why do it? And, How? Learn about intellectual property!

The Intellectual Property Owners (IPO) Education Foundation, IPO Women in IP Committee, and Finnegan invite Girl Scouts and 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th grade students to join us for a morning of creativity and fun as you learn about intellectual property (IP). Through a series of hands-on activities and presentations, students will explore the many ways in which inventors solve problems and use IP to protect their ideas and creations. For example, small groups will rotate through different stations including:

  • Patents Innovate: Recreate an invention
  • Design a Trademark: Avoid the generic
  • Copyrights: Do not be a copycat
  • Design Patents: Protecting the Look and Feel
