Finnegan is a sponsor of the George Washington University Law School 2ndannual Donald R. Dunner Lecture. Over a six-decade career, Don made singularly important contributions to the patent profession, ranging from a seminal role in the creation of the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit to arguing 175 Federal Circuit appeals that helped to shape much of modern patent law. Don’s extraordinary contributions to the patent profession were further evident in his numerous leadership roles within the organized bar and his decades-long teaching role at GW Law. The Dunner Endowed Lecture seeks to continue Don’s legacy of thought leadership within the patent profession through law and practice lectures given by the most accomplished members of today’s patent bar.
