World Trademark Review Recognizes Finnegan as a Top Tier Law Firm

January 25, 2018

World Trademark Review

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 25, 2018

WASHINGTON, DC—World Trademark Review (WTR) released its annual WTR 1000—The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals list, recognizing Finnegan as a top firm in both the U.S. National and DC Metro Area categories for trademark enforcement and litigation, as well as prosecution and strategy. According to the 2018 rankings, Finnegan is "one of the finest IP practices out there," and "its team is world-class and absolutely solid…there is consistency in the quality of its expertise and client engagement."

WTR also named six Finnegan partners as leading trademark practitioners:

Washington, DC metro
Danny M. Awdeh
Christopher P. Foley
B. Brett Heavner
Douglas A. Rettew
Mark Sommers

Individual practitioners, law firms, and trademark attorney practices qualify for inclusion in the WTR 1000 based solely on receiving sufficient positive feedback from market sources. The extensive research process was conducted over a four-month period by a team of full-time analysts and involved over 1,500 face-to-face and telephone interviews with trademark specialists across the globe.

Doug (Chip) Rettew, Finnegan’s trademark and copyright practice leader, said, “We are honored to be recognized again by World Trademark Review. Our deep bench of experienced and focused trademark lawyers and professionals enables us to help clients in all business sectors select, protect, and enforce their valuable trademark rights—before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and in courts around the country.”
