The National Law Journal recognized Finnegan partner Donald R. Dunner on its list of “The 100 Most Influential Lawyers in America.” In order to compile a list of “law’s power elite,” NLJ editors selected “lawyers who shape the legal world through their work in the courtroom, at the negotiating table, in the classroom, or in government,” focusing on achievements since the last time this list was published in 2006.
Dunner was selected for his legal results and standing as a business leader. Since he helped draft the rules for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in 1982, he has remained active in the development of the court. Last August, he won “a seminal en banc ruling” for Akamai Technologies, Inc., and in June 2011, the U.S. Supreme Court affirmed his $290 million win for i4i against Microsoft.
