When it comes to nonfungible tokens, commonly referred to as NFTs, one of the most consequential lingering questions is who owns the underlying intellectual property rights? In most cases, the creator of the actual media owns the rights, not the person who purchases the NFT. The Wall Street Journal interviewed Finnegan partner Michael Young for his insight. Michael said, “There’s certainly a big disconnect between what people think they’re getting and what they’re actually getting.”
