Law360 interviewed Finnegan Of Counsel Lisa London about her return to the firm.
Lisa previously worked at Finnegan for 13 years. She said that Finnegan offered her practice "a rare combination of excellence and collegiality. The depth of experience in the trademark and advertising group and the firm's resources are unparalleled and will enable me to serve clients more comprehensively.”
When asked about the difficulty about identifying trademarks, she said, "The exponential growth in the volume of new trademark application filings over the past few years speaks to the crowded nature of both the trademark register and the marketplace," she said. "The earlier a client can involve trademark counsel in branding decisions, the better we can help secure rights in a client's preferred trademarks."
She added: "I particularly enjoy working with in-house marketing and legal teams to understand their business, products and services."
Danny Awdeh, leader of Finnegan’s trademark, copyright and advertising group said the firm has "always hoped that she would one day return to the firm," and that he was thrilled to welcome her back to the team.
"During her previous tenure at Finnegan, Lisa embodied the firm's commitment to excellence and our team-oriented approach to achieving the best results for our clients," he said. "Lisa is an absolute stand out across trademark disciplines."
