Finnegan’s Jacob Schroeder Awarded Linn Inn Alliance Distinguished Service Medal

On March 23, 2018, Federal Circuit Judges Richard Linn and Raymond Chen, on behalf of the Linn Inn Alliance, presented Finnegan partner Jacob Schroeder with its Distinguished Service Medal in recognition of his outstanding service in helping to bring the American Inn of Court experience to the intellectual property community. A former a law clerk for the Alliance’s founder, the Honorable Richard Linn, Jacob currently serves as secretary for the San Francisco Bay Area Intellectual Property American Inn of Court. 

A resident in Finnegan’s Palo Alto office, Jacob focuses his practice on patent and trade secret litigation and appeals. He has handled numerous litigation and appellate matters in a variety of technologies, including computers, electronics, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals. His litigation experience includes jury trials and covers all aspects of patent litigation. In addition to his clerkship at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, Jacob also clerked for the Honorable Lucy H. Koh at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
