Finnegan was shortlisted for “International Intellectual Property Law Firm of the Year” at the 2021 Asian Legal Business Japan Law Awards. The awards pay tribute to the outstanding performance of private practitioners and in-house counsel in Japan and around the region. The award ceremony will be held virtually on September 30, 2021.
Asian Legal Business asked the award finalists to comment on how they've approached their legal work as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Naoki Yoshida, managing partner of Finnegan's Tokyo office, said:
"While the world continues to face the unprecedented challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic and the end is still not in sight, thanks to the Finnegan team, we quickly adapted to the new normal and have been able to continue providing the highest quality of legal services to our clients. Our innovations under COVID-19 are not just limited to digital transformations by securing remote access to the firm's network and robust video conferencing systems, but they expand to our availability and accessibility without face-to-face contact with clients and our flexibility to pivot in response to judicial and administrative changes in procedure. Throughout this pandemic, we have been reinforcing our teamwork so we can continue in our legacy as an IP powerhouse."
