Finnegan’s Nishla Keiser and Mareesa Frederick Named to The National Law Journal’s 2014 Rising Stars

WASHINGTON, DC — Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP attorneys Nishla Keiser, Ph.D. and Mareesa A. Frederick have been recognized by The National Law Journal (NLJ) as two of the nation’s “Rising Stars.” This NLJ annual award highlights 40 exceptional lawyers, age 40 or younger, in major U.S. markets who are making an impact both in their careers and in their communities.

Dr. Keiser was recognized as a “Boston Rising Star” for her patent litigation and strategic intellectual property work in the areas of pharmaceuticals, chemical, and biotechnology. Additionally, she was recognized for her pro bono efforts.

The National Law Journal recognized Ms. Frederick as a “D.C. Rising Star,” citing her eight years of International Trade Commission experience, which includes five years as a senior investigative attorney before returning to Finnegan. She was additionally recognized for her dedication to community service and pro bono work on behalf of children with special education needs. Also noted was her recent selection to the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellows Program.

“We could not be more proud of Nishla and Mareesa,” said Finnegan Managing Partner, James B. Monroe. “Their commitment to the legal profession and to their communities is admirable and reflects the core values on which Finnegan stands.”
