WASHINGTON, DC— The American Lawyer published its annual Midlevel Associates Survey, ranking Finnegan #13 nationally for job satisfaction and marking a significant rise from the firm’s #26 ranking in 2024. Finnegan’s strong performance also includes a Top 10 ranking for its Washington, D.C. office based on high scores in mentorship, transparency, quality of work, and a 35% response rate. This recognition reflects Finnegan’s ongoing commitment to associate satisfaction, professional development, and a collaborative workplace culture.
The Midlevel Associates Survey ranks AmLaw 200 firms based on the job satisfaction of their third-, fourth-, and fifth-year associates. The survey evaluates associate satisfaction across several key factors, including compensation, training and development, work-life balance, collegial relationships, billable hour expectations, and the transparency of firm leadership regarding strategic direction and partnership opportunities. Using a 5-point scale, the associates rate their level of satisfaction and firms receiving at least ten eligible responses are ranked based on their average scores across each category.
