Finnegan Receives Another Perfect Score for LGBTQ Workplace Equality

January 21, 2020

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 21, 2020

WASHINGTON, DC—For the fourth consecutive year, Finnegan’s corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) workplace equality were recognized by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI). Finnegan’s efforts in satisfying the CEI criteria earned a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.

The CEI rates companies and top law firms on detailed criteria falling under five broad categories:

  • Non-discrimination policies
  • Employment benefits
  • Demonstrated organizational competency and accountability around LGBTQ diversity and inclusion
  • Public commitment to LGBTQ equality
  • Responsible citizenship

“We are proud to again receive a perfect score on the 2020 CEI,” said Mareesa Frederick, Finnegan’s diversity partner-in-charge. “Everyone deserves a welcoming work environment, so we will continue to implement policies and programs that foster a workplace of diversity and inclusion, as we have witnessed first-hand how it benefits the firm, our people, and our clients in a positive way.”
