Finnegan Ranks #1 for Associate Satisfaction in 2020 Chambers Associate Guide

WASHINGTON, DC—In the 2020 Chambers Associate guide, Finnegan ranked #1 among DC law firms for Associate Satisfaction. Additionally, the firm ranked as a top 10 DC law firm in the categories of Retention, Career Opportunities, Benefits and Quality of Life, and Pro Bono. The firm was also recognized as a top firm in the same categories nationally.

Chambers Associate provides students with an inside look into the working lives of associates at the nation’s leading law firms. Results are derived from interviews with associates and an online survey that covers every aspect of law firm life, from their initial views on the firm and its competitors, to their relationships with partners and clients, to the firm's handling of diversity and inclusion and pro bono. Associates are also asked about their expectations and aspirations.

One associate spoke to Finnegan’s reputation as an IP leader, referring to firm attorneys as the “masters of IP.” Another associate noted that at Finnegan, it is possible to build your own practice as a junior associate and “find a natural fit for your expertise rather than being pigeonholed.” Associates also spoke highly of the firm culture, saying, “Considering the pedigree of work we do, there’s a certain humility.
